Hemodynamic Fetal Response to Maternal Isometric Exercise in Pregnant Patients with Diabetes

چکیده
Background: Studies on physical activity during pregnancy and its impact mother fetus are still limited. International protocols consider only aerobic exercise fail to provide information about other modalities such as isometric exercise. Isometric promotes cardiorespiratory resistance muscle strengthening, but it is rarely tested pregnant women because increases maternal blood pressure can subsequently affect placental circulation. Objectives: To assess the fetal response by use of Doppler study in diabetes submitted Methods: A cross-sectional experimental was conducted 25 with gestational age between 26 36 weeks. The patients were handgrip, data collected from (blood pressure, heart rate velocimetry for uterine arteries) (heart rate, umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery ductus venosus). All variables before, after handgrip. Results: There a significant reduction pulsatilityindex (average values pre 0.77 ± 0.30, trans 0.65 0.22, post 0.75 p = 0.001), index 0.49 0.12, 0.44 0.10, 0.48 0.90, </span

Maternal serum lipid levels in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in comparison to normal pregnant women
Background: Even though hormonal changes in pregnancy have been associated with plasma lipid variation, is not yet understood the mechanism which pregnancy alters lipid metabolism. Materials and Methods: This prospective cohort study conducted between March 2011 and May 2012 in Shariati Hospital on 112 pregnant women with GDM and 159 healthy pregnant women. In order to determine lipids or li...
متن کاملVoluntary exercise in pregnant rats positively influences fetal growth without initiating a maternal physiological stress response.
The effects of increased physical activity during pregnancy on the health of the offspring in later life are unknown. Research in this field requires an animal model of exercise during pregnancy that is sufficiently strenuous to cause an effect but does not elicit a stress response. Previously, we demonstrated that two models of voluntary exercise in the nonpregnant rat, tower climbing and risi...
متن کاملMaternal, Fetal and Neonatal Outcomes in Pregnant Women with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Comprehensive Review Study
Background:Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease with multiple organ involvement and periods of relapse and remission that mainly affects young women of childbearing age. In this regard the reproductive health is an important issue. Although diagnosis, treatment and management of pregnancy in SLE women have been improved recently, but the main concern is effects of SLE on ...
متن کاملChoroidal blood flow response to isometric exercise in glaucoma patients and patients with ocular hypertension.
PURPOSE To analyze submacular choroidal blood flow (ChBF) response to isometric exercise in untreated patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension. METHODS ChBF was examined by means of confocal laser Doppler flowmetry during 5 minutes of baseline, during 90 seconds of isometric exercise with a Martin's vigorimeter and during 15 minutes of recovery. Values from one randomly chosen eye of 45...
متن کاملHemodynamic, ventilatory and metabolic effects of light isometric exercise in patients with chronic heart failure.
Light isometric exercise, such as lifting or carrying loads that require 25% of a maximal voluntary contraction, is frequently reported to cause dyspnea in patients with heart failure. The pathophysiologic mechanisms responsible for the appearance of this symptom, however, are unknown. Accordingly, hemodynamic, metabolic and ventilatory responses to 6 min of light isometric forearm exercise wer...
